Dear Advanced Practice Registered Nurses:
Hello, my name is Sara Vandeginste MSN, RN, and I am completing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at George Mason University (GMU). Currently, I am in the process of implementing a quality improvement project on Problematic Media Use (PMU) in the pediatric population. To implement my project, I would like members of the Virginia Association of Doctors of Nursing Practice (VADNP) organization who are currently working as Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) or those that are APRN students to participate in a brief, anonymous 18 question survey designed to assess the APRNs awareness of PMU and to determine the usability and feasibility of the interactive website and toolkit in their current practice setting (the survey should only take 5-10 minutes to complete).
Please feel free to review the interactive website and anticipatory guidance sheets and provide comments on the website forum. Again, your participation is voluntary, and the information reported is anonymous. The proposed benefits of your participation include easier identification of pediatric patients with PMU and an interactive website with useful information to assist in identifying pediatric patients at risk for PMU. The survey link is https://svandeginste.wixsite.com/website. After reviewing the website, the survey can be found under the “More” tab.
Thank you in advance for your participation! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at 240-997-7139 or via email email@example.com; additionally, you may contact my DNP chair, Dr. Tanya Haas at firstname.lastname@example.org. This project, Bridging the Knowledge Gap of Problematic Media Use: A Quality Improvement Project (1523343-1), has been deemed non-research by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at GMU.
