Neurosurgery, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant New

Inova Neurosurgery is looking for a dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Physician Assistant (APPs) to join the team. Positions are available across multiple locations and shifts including PRN/Part Time/Full-Time opportunities. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider Job Responsibilities:

• APP will be responsible for all aspects of the service, to include daily rounds and progress notes.
• ER and inpatient consults admissions and discharges
• Ordering and interpreting labs and radiologic studies
• Fielding phone calls from beside nurses, 
• Multidisciplinary care coordination, and patient education. 
• You may also perform procedures within scope of practice and Inova Health credentialing and privileges to include EVD and ICP monitor placement. 
• Some opportunity exists for first-assisting in the OR, as service needs permit or require. 
• The APP will work directly with the neurosurgeons. 

Additional Requirements: 

• Work schedule: Full-time/Part-Time/PRN 
• Education: Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.  
• Certification: Board certified (ACNP or NCCPA certification), BLS, Virginia License, DEA. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Minimum of one year of experience in inpatient neurosurgery, spine, or orthopedics.
