NP/PA Inpatient Stroke Opportunity in Greenville, NC New

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Medical Center, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work with Stroke Neurohospitalists on a dedicated inpatient stroke service. ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed level 1 trauma center, serves as the regional leader for neurosciences and is the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in eastern North Carolina.

• Daytime shifts only – 7 shifts every 14 days
• Stroke Consultative Service co-managing patients with the Hospitalist Service
• Clinical responsibilities include working closely with vascular neurologists on new consults, follow-up cases and participation in acute stroke management

Established clinical neuroscience program inclusive of 10 neurosurgeons, including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists and 20 + neurologists including an interventional neurologist, 4 vascular neurologists, 4 neurointensivists and 13 subspecialty neurologists. The subspecialties include pediatric neurology, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache, neuromuscular, sleep medicine, intraoperative monitoring and neuro-oncology.

• ECU Health Medical Center is home to a 24-bed NSICU as well as a large rehab center providing both inpatient and outpatient support to neurology patients
• Dedicated team of NSICU NP/PA’s providing 24/7 coverage
• Strong investment in technology including Gamma Knife, NeuroBlate, and RAPID
• Over 1,000 neurological cases performed annually to include complex spine and brain tumor resections
• Over 1,500 annual admissions with stroke as primary diagnosis
